==Habitat and Distribution==
Panamá. Between 900 and 1400 m. elev.

==Description==
This tiny palm native to montane rainforests in Panama between 900 and 1400 m forms a thin trunk topped by a spreading crown of slightly curly, sparsely and unevenly pinnate leaves. The long, unbranched, inflorescences arch out of the crown and hold relatively large purple fruits. It would be best suited for the humid warm temperate garden but is probably not yet in cultivation.
